What good team dynamics look like under pressure

The teams I respect most aren't the ones that are always happy. They're the ones that stay aligned and communicative even when things get hard.
Most teams perform well when things are easy. People are resourceful, positive, collaborative. But that's not the test.
The real test is how a team communicates when they're under pressure. When things are going wrong. When there's conflict, ambiguity, or tight deadlines.
I've watched teams fall apart because they don't know how to communicate when it matters.
People get defensive instead of curious.
They stop sharing information.
They work around each other instead of with each other.
Good team dynamics under pressure looks different: people still speak up, but they're direct instead of defensive. Problem solving not finger pointing.
